"Tales Of The Liquor Store And Beyond" is a picture i drew just after an art block. It was really great getting back into the groove of things and painting something i could both enjoy and be happy with. I was inspired by "this love" by Julia Stone and other tracks from her album "The memory Machine"

The subject of the picture you might say feels or looks blank. But I guess thats because i feel a bit blank lately. With the exterior of someone who is always up to something interesting and the interior of someone who feels trapped by limitations that others have thrown upon them. I'm playing a waiting game. Waiting to get away and move on, leave the nest might be the phrase i'm looking for. Waiting to spend time with the people i want to and not the people i have to. Well i mean, thats something that you just have to deal with in life, sure. But sometimes a break from it is more than what you need.

I used Photoshop CS5 and a Wacom Bamboo tablet to draw this with. I'm not too sure how long it took. i finished it in two sittings, both of which lasted a few hours.

I love drawing like this.

i hope you stop feeling blank soon and. i love this : D its cool and the stare is really kinda empty and creepy 8I the colours are kinda uneasy and "disgusting" xD its awesome
